Trolling for Summer fish

Because of the high water temps in most lakes, there is oxygen depletion in deeper water, which pushes the fish into shallower water. That doesn't leave trolling out of the picture, I trolled in 8ft of water with shallow crankbaits that imitate bluegills and other baitfish and did fairly well I caught multiple Bass and Northern pike. My biggest fish have been a 6lb Bass and a 12lb pike. I generally choose to troll on smaller lakes so I have a better chance to catch bigger fish in a shorter amount of time.
