Northland Ice Fishing Jigs

In murky water lakes the UV Super-Glo Fire-Ball Jigs tipped with small plastics are my number one choice for big Crappies and Bluegills. Also these Jigs excel at at night for big night time Crappies. These jigs are made from Tungsten and sink fast allowing you to get to the fish faster.

Big Slab Crappies

If your looking to put some big slab Crappies on the ice this year then you have to do some research. Big Crappies tend to be easier to find and catch on smaller lakes with little fishing pressure. You have to look for a good population on your DNR website's fish nettings and a good average size. I was on a 10 acre lake with almost no fishing pressure and caught 3 Crappies that were 14in.within 1 hour.

Bass Ice Fishing

Largemouth Bass are hard to pattern while ice fishing they are usually caught while fishing Tip-Ups for Pike. In this case I was fishing for Crappies on a lake with little fishing pressure.

Hole Hopping Panfish

To stay on the fish your going to have to drill a lot of holes. You have to figure out what depth the fish are at and then drill holes across the depth contour. I caught close to 100 Crappies and a few big Gills fishing the same depth all around the deep basin.
