As the temperatures rise and it gets later into the ice fishing season you can expect the Crappies and other panfish to move towards their spring spawning areas like shallow bays and creeks. The Crappies are more aggressive and smack Northland's UV glow tungsten Fireball jigs tipped with soft plastics

No More Overnight Wheelhouses

The Ice houses cant be left on the ice over night as far as today Feb 28. I had great luck this year for big Crappies at night on Lake Waconia, MN. I caught multiple 10 to 12in Crappies with some being as big as 14in.
